Equality begins at workplace – International Pride Month

As we move towards a world that facilitates equality, it’s important that we recognize the struggles and fights of the LGBTQIA+ community to create a world that enjoys equality and dignity of self!

What is a better time than now to have this conversation rolling on the table as we approach the International Pride Month?

The month of June was chosen for LGBTQIA+ community across the globe to commemorate the Stonewall riots of June 1969.

India’s LGBTQIA+ has come a long way from living the British colonial laws on sexuality and gender. India is now one of the first nations in the world to recognize and legalize Transgender identities. Same-sex relationships are no longer a criminal offense under IPC (A) 377.

As we know it, it’s just the beginning to gap the bridge of discrimination. Therefore, it's important for all the workforces across India to recognize the advent of inclusivity and diversity, in order for the community to avail equal opportunities for work and dignified life!
